Rescue under way on tall ship stricken by Hurricane Sandy, 14 of 17 safe
WITN: Officials say a ship with 17 people onboard is sinking off our coast, which forced the crew to abandon ship into 18-foot waves and 40 mile per hour winds off the North Carolina coast.
The Coast Guard is working to rescue the crew of the HMS Bounty, a 180-foot, three-mast tall ship which was last marked about 90 miles southeast of Hatteras.
